Having planted it a month ago, our Salad Bar was open for business – in fact the rocket had already started to ‘go to seed’. These girls tucked in. More has been planted.

We did a lot of watering today and we gave the plants a liquid feed. We noticed our first ‘tiger toms’ and a big cucumber! We transplanted the cucumbers and some other plants into beds in the polytunnel.

We ate a pod of raw peas each and some people no doubt had some chives ( a favourite of Farfield children).

Here we have a great picture of CT doing some independent planting of tomatoes and peppers – what a fantastic young gardener!
