This week we spent time covering some beds in the Access Garden, ready for the winter. We also harvested some willow and stripped it of its leaves. Some of us ate more grapes!

Fabulous Harvest

October 9, 2014 at 10:03 pm

Despite sending lots of harvest home already, and supplying events at the Children’s Centre throughout August, there was still a fantastic display at harvest Festival last week. Ms Howells reports that the KS2 children have been working so hard on the farm and this fabulous harvest is testament to their work. The pepper harvest was spectacular! Well done!

Farm Club 6th October 2014

October 9, 2014 at 9:44 pm

Farm Club worked really hard on Monday clearing beds in the polytunnel (as it was raining). We had a ‘who can find the longest root?’ competition and snacked on some of the last french beans. We also enjoyed tasting some yellow tomatoes.  We discovered an interesting beetle, later identified as a green shield bug.
