4GK on the Farm
Wednesday 1st April | No comments yet
Throughout the week at Farsley Farfield, children across the year groups are given opportunities to learn about all things farming thanks to the staff and the facilities at the school. This week, a group of children from 4GK worked in the farm classroom, the polytunnel and the chicken coop.
Children this week watered some hot pepper seeds, weeded a large container of leeks, potted some hot pepper plants, sifted compost, fed the chickens AND collected, washed and packaged eggs ready to be sold. Tremendous fun was had whilst the children continued to develop their farming skills.
